In Deutschland werden die Diskussionen hinsichtlich der Integration von Flüchtlingen, der Problematik einer fortschreitenden Islamisierung und den Gefahren durch den Terrorismus überaus heftig (zum Teil geradezu feindselig) miteinander geführt. Dabei schrecken die Diskussionsteilnehmer nicht davor zurück,, sich gegenseitig der Lüge und Inkompetenz zu bezichtigen, was naturgemäss keineswegs zu einer fundierten Klärung der Sachverhalte beträgt. Der Autor dieses Buch war 12 Jahre im Irak, Libyen und Oman als Ausbildungsberater tätig und konnte somit sehr ausgiebig die Mentalität der Muslime bezüglich ihrer Religion und ihrem sozialen Zusammenleben studieren. In dieser Zeit pflegte er auch intensive Freundschaften mit strenggläubigen Muslimen und unterhielt engere Kontakte mit den radikalen Muslimbrüdern in Ägypten. Anschliessend lebte der Autor 6 Jahre lang in Asien und seit 2010 wohnt er jedes Jahr einige Monate in Tunesien, um dort die politische und religiöse Entwicklung zu studieren.
Eine wesentliche Frage ist doch, ob der Islam und die Integration von Muslimen für Deutschland in religiöser und auch in wirtschaftlicher Hinsicht eine Gefahr darstellt, oder nicht. Darauf kann der Autor dieses Buches, durch seine langjährigen Erfahrungen und Kenntnisse bezüglich der Muslime, ausführliche und sachlich fundierte Antworten geben. Trotzdem oder gerade deshalb wird das Buch polarisieren, denn der Autor kann natürlich nicht die Gefahren verschweigen, die vom Islam ausgehen und auch nicht die Probleme verniedlichen, die sich bei der Integration von Flüchtlingen ergeben, insbesondere im wirtschaftlichen Bereich. Für den Leser wird das Buch aber schon deshalb ein Gewinn sein, weil er in konzentrierter Form mehr (und vor allem ungefiltert) über die Eigenart des Islams und die Mentalität der Muslime erfahren wird, als sonst wo.
